About the Website Design
a constantly evolving product
After spending five years as an in-house designer at Lightspeed, it’s safe to say that as a creative professional, you dip your fingers into everything: I conceptualized, planned, and executed designs and strategies that leveraged the company’s brand image, social presence, website, marketing, and corporate identity online, in print, advertising, merchandising, and at industry trade shows. I also participated in and oversaw four website releases. This was my personal favourite.
Design objectives for the Lightspeed website from the get-go was to ensure users an easy route to obtaining product demos and downloads, while testing to improve upon conversion while mitigating potential problems.
I’ve participated, managed, oversaw, directed, and acted as designer on multiple revisions of the company’s website. This includes five major redesigns, multiple subpage iterations, and multiple additions to a growing product line.
As brand and design manager for Lightspeed, I offered art direction on photo and video shoots with collaborators, produced icons, and coordinated style guides too to ensure consistency of our visual design across multiple platforms.
