Stacy Angell Curtis

The author website for Christian Romantic Suspense author, Stacy Angell Curtis, highlights her current book series and forthcoming third title, and was designed to grow with her product offering. As Stacy uses her newsletter as a primary means of communication with readers, we designed a matching newsletter to incentivize subscribers, and included a lead magnet on her site.

The Design Brief

a bespoke luxury travel experience

The objective for this website redesign was to better facilitate the white-glove service package on offer, automating processes, and ensuring that the mobile experience matched the desktop. Guests could select and tailor luxury villa vacations in tropical and European destinations, and select exclusive activities according to their desires.

The Screen Shots

unique luxury travel experiences

Ghyd offered an exclusive catalogue of destinations and experiences for jetsetters wanting authentic experiences with a luxury touch. Every detail was considered in their travel offerings, and similarly reflected in their website to facilitate the decision-making process when choosing a vacation” the service included curated adventures and experiences at the guests’ request.

Martin Shannon

Martin Shannon arrived at his website design with an idea for his marketing plan — with a time table for story releases, a plan for an email marketing list, and a diligent work ethic, Martin engaged me to pull together the wrapper: a website that reflected his ties to Florida; a key setting in all of his work. We developed his content architecture collaboratively and iterated through a handful of concepts for his brand before building his WordPress site.

Dynamite Outfitting

We wanted to offer customers the opportunity to shop for components of a featured outfit while browsing products they were already interested in. The simplest solution was to include an in-product toggle with hot spots that could be turned on or off. A tap-through on a hot spot would allow for additional information to be displayed, and allow the user to add additional products to their cart without leaving the product screen.

Dynamite eCommerce Checkout

The goal of this design solution was to reduce friction and accordingly, user drop-off before completion. We reduced the number of steps required for a user to complete the checkout process while still supporting best practices for login and guest checkout, added smart completion and pre-population of address fields by leveraging the Google API, and included a simplified ship-to-store feature. We also included a share cart feature to improve conversion in mobile users after finding that mobile’s conversion was drastically lower than that of desktop.

Luxury Retreats Product Category Page

As a means of increasing service requests for concierge, we tested a scenario on our product category results page, wherein by placing a call to action and trust statement within the top 700px viewing area, we were able to improve conversions 60% over a month-long time span. The design was integrated permanently and adapted for desktop following successful results.

KiraButler.com 3.0

KiraButler.com is the heart of my author platform. Using the website to focus building market interest in my career as a horror and dark fantasy writer for young adults, it’s a portfolio of written work, a place to share news with fans of the genre, and a vehicle for generating interest in the topics I write about. It’s a strange and curious venue, where the fantastic is made possible.
